There are multiple ways you can support the Indianola Music Program.
1. Patron Program - This allows for individuals, families and businesses to financially support our music programs. We are a 501c3 organization which gives us Tax-Exempt status and allows our Patrons the opportunity to contribute funds to Indianola school district music programs with the option of submitting as tax write-off. This also allows employees to use matching funds when they support the program. Donating to this fund supports all students K-12 across Band, Orchestra, and Choir programs. The money raised each school year determines our Booster budget for the following year. These funds are allocated to each director and program across all grade levels K-12 to help cover expenses not included in school budgets.
Levels of Individual Giving:
$15 ---- Concerto Growth
$25 ---- Sounds of the Soul
$50 ---- The Beat Goes On
$100 ---- I’ve Got the Music in Me
$250 ---- Concertmaster
$500 ---- Millennium Music
Private Donation (name listed; amount not listed)
Levels of Business Giving:
$100 ---- Allegro
$250 ---- Forte
$500 ---- Vivace
$1000 ---- Virtuoso

OR send your contribution payable to Indianola Music Boosters, with your name (as you would like it to appear in the program) and address to:

2. Event-Specific Donations - Events such as Cabaret, Ascension, and the Paul McKee Jazz Festival are fundraisers organized by directors for their specific music groups and support the students that participate in these groups. As you can imagine, hosting these events requires significant funding, volunteer help, and community support. Donations made directly to these events help cover the expenses associated with putting them on.
For information on Event-Specific donations, please contact one of our music directors.
3. Endowment Fund - Our new Endowment is an exciting opportunity for long-term sustainability. This fund was initiated by a parent/community member who wished to contribute a significant gift to help support our "capital expenses" for years to come. With the help of the Greater Des Moines Partnership, we are currently establishing this program. We anticipate using these funds to support high-cost needs identified by our directors.

While we can share information about each option, we aren’t able to recommend which one is “best” for you and your business — that choice is a personal and/or business decision for you to make. For more information, please contact our Patron Committee at: [email protected].
